Co-founder
General Manager
Dr. Bedilu is an Associate Professor of Statistics at Addis Ababa University. His research focuses on developing innovative spatial data analytics methods and applying them in public health data. He introduced a novel geostatistical modelling framework for non-stationary patterns in disease risk and developed a test statistic for measuring spatio-environmental autocorrelation. His work turns DHS, MIS, PMA and WHO STEPS data into small area estimates that guide malaria, nutrition and family planning programs.
He is a lead author of 15+ peer-reviewed articles; PI or Co-PI on four funded projects and Sub-Saharan Africa Consortium for Advanced Biostatistics (SSACAB) senior research fellow. At KYDA, he leads the firm and oversees the quality of every project it delivers.
